One of the common questions this time of year is whether or not to get the flu shot – highly recommended by Public Health and the medical profession.  Is it a controversial subject? Absolutely. Especially among holistic health care practitioners. Having worked on both sides – the decision can be daunting.

Your choice to get a flu vaccine should be discussed with your Health Care Practitioner. Clinics are held everywhere including at the workplace which allows for convenience. I don’t advocate getting one but then I don’t know your medical condition, and according to Public Health, working with the most vulnerable, babies, seniors and the ill, the necessity of being vaccinated is more crucial.

From a Homeopathic perspective, we as Homeopaths prefer to promote the use of Homeopathic Medicines to support a healthy immune system.  In addition to this, there are several homeopathic products today that offer a natural approach to managing potential flu symptoms and preventing the flu.

The choice is yours as it always should be.  Be informed.  Make the right choice for you.

Since this is a homeopathic blog, here are some interesting sites/articles that provide a Homeopathic perspective.  I think the media and Public Health have already provided their perspectives.
